The Marlborough Frostbite League was founded in 2002 by two brothers who had a vision. Their goal was to provide a place for people to gather to play safe and enjoyable softball games with friends, family and teammates. Athletes with the itch to play recreational ball now have a great community that welcomes diverse backgrounds and all ranges of ability. Back then, the league started with only 6 teams and has since grown and stayed strong. Check out our timeline below:
2002- Michael and Nelson Zompetti become the founders of the Marlborough Frostbite league.
2007- First coed frostbite league in the area is founded.
2008- First frostbite league website is up and running.
2008- First frostbite turkey shoot softball tournament held.
2009- Jack Grasso becomes Vice President.
2009- Coed League is broken into two divisions.
2010- Mens League is broken into two divisions.
2011- Frostbite league is now composed of 18 teams.
2011- Joey Tower becomes a Board Member.
2011- First All-star Game is held.
2013- First Coed All-star Game is held.
We would like to thank every player and fan who has made this league what it is today. Without you, there would be no fall ball. Together, we have made this fun competition possible!
